In the Palisades With Photographer Jason Foster

 film photography

My friend Jason Foster and I recently spent a day shooting in the Palisades area of L.A. He used a few different film cameras throughout the day and shot a few pics on each. One of these images is a Polaroid and one is a Polaroid shot on an iPhone, you'll be able to tell by the formatting.

What we spent a lot of time on was exploring locations. We hit a few snags in wildly steep hills and restricted areas, as well as major wins in surprisingly lush surroundings. I was shoeless for every bit of it, which in and of itself makes for a successful weekend day as far as I'm concerned. I happened to have a kimono with me which I whipped out when we stumbled upon a bamboo forest, and I had swimwear for dipping in a creek we found off the side of a road. A creek that Jason deemed "suuuper dirty." (Direct quote.) It was wonderful.
